Without proper treatment, diabetic foot ulcers can lead to severe complications, including infection and amputation.

- Accelerating Tissue Repair: Encouraging the regeneration of healthy tissue for faster recovery.
Benefits of Shock-Wave Ultrasound
- Non-Invasive: No surgery or downtime required.

- Effective: Proven results in improving healing rates and reducing recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers.
Prevention and Early Detection of Diabetic Foot Ulcers
At Virtue Non-healing Wound Clinic, we emphasize the importance of prevention and early detection when it comes to diabetic foot ulcers. For individuals with diabetes, even minor foot injuries can lead to serious complications if left untreated. Our team of specialists works closely with patients to educate them on how to care for their feet, including regular self-examinations, proper footwear, and maintaining good blood sugar control. By catching potential issues early, we can intervene with targeted treatments that reduce the risk of ulcers and prevent further complications.
Comprehensive Wound Care Management
Our approach to treating diabetic foot ulcers is comprehensive and patient-centered. The Virtue Non-healing Wound Clinic offers a range of advanced wound care therapies that are tailored to each patient's unique condition. From debridement to remove dead tissue and promote healing to the application of specialized dressings that maintain a moist environment, our treatments are designed to accelerate the healing process. We also incorporate offloading techniques to reduce pressure on the ulcerated area, which is crucial for effective healing.
Multidisciplinary Approach to Diabetic Foot Care
Diabetic foot ulcers often require the expertise of multiple specialists to address the various aspects of care. At Virtue Non-healing Wound Clinic, we take a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating with podiatrists, endocrinologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. This ensures that our patients receive comprehensive care that addresses not only the ulcer but also any underlying conditions that may be contributing to slow healing, such as poor circulation or neuropathy.
Advanced Diagnostic Tools for Effective Treatment
Effective treatment of diabetic foot ulcers starts with accurate diagnosis. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools that allow us to assess the extent of the ulcer and any related complications, such as infection or reduced blood flow. By using advanced imaging techniques and blood tests, we can develop a precise treatment plan that targets the root cause of the ulcer, enhancing the likelihood of successful healing.
Patient Education and Support
We believe that empowering our patients with knowledge is key to preventing and managing diabetic foot ulcers. At Virtue Non-healing Wound Clinic, we provide ongoing education and support to help patients understand their condition, the importance of daily foot care, and how to recognize the early signs of an ulcer. Our team is dedicated to supporting our patients every step of the way, from initial diagnosis to complete healing and beyond.
Innovative Treatments for Chronic Wounds
For patients with chronic or non-healing diabetic foot ulcers, Virtue Non-healing Wound Clinic offers some of the most innovative treatments available. In addition to shock-wave ultrasound treatment, we utilize bioengineered skin substitutes, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). These advanced therapies are designed to stimulate the body's natural healing processes, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue regeneration, offering new hope for patients with stubborn wounds.

"No More Pain"
MaryAnn R.
My daughter could not believe how good my legs looked! She is going to see Dr. Krikorian too. I was completely satisfied with my treatment and am no longer in pain. The result is fantastic and I highly recommend going to see Dr. Krikorian if you are experiencing any leg pain.
"I Walked 2 Miles the Next Day!"

I had suffered with varicose veins for years. I recently went to see Dr. Krikorian at Virtue Vein & Lymphatic Center where he told me everything I needed to know about vein disease and the treatment options. He performed a laser ablation on my diseased vein, and I was able to resume my normal activity the day after my procedure!
"They Listen Very Well!"
Jeff K.
Dr. Krikorian is a busy man, but he will take the time necessary to really listen to you and figure out what the problem is. Most doctors these days seem to be talking to the computer, and not the person. Well, here it is the other way around.
"Very Knowledgable!"
Happy Patient
After my stress test was normal, Dr. Krikorian explained that the test was around 70% accurate and that I should pay close attention to my body for any warning signs. A few weeks later I was exercising when my energy was zapped in less than 10 minutes and I had a pain under the sternum. I called Dr. Krikorian and he scheduled a cardiac catheterization the next day. He said I showed no sign of a heart attack but he found a 99% blockage in the circumflex artery, which he opened with a stent. I am grateful that he explained possible warning signs and then responded quickly with the catheterization and stent.
"My Leg is Feeling So Much Better!"
Marlene G.
Dr. Krikorian performed a laser ablation to treat the vein disease in my right leg. I didn’t even realize how much my left leg hurt from varicose veins until he fixed my right leg! I thought the treatment would be painful, so I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t.
